The Leaders Programme offers an exclusive agenda of activities and networking occasions at ITU Telecom World 2018 for the highest-level representatives of governments, corporates and SMEs in the ICT sector. Admission to the Leaders Programme is by invitation only. Contact us directly if you have not yet received an invitation and you think you may be eligible.
Leaders are registered by ITU.
As a Leader pass holder, if your spouse is accompanying you and would like to access the venue, contact us to complete their registration.
Accompanying persons & national delegations
Accompanying persons and members of national delegations must register individually online. Focal points are asked to encourage their delegation members to complete their registration prior to the event.
Focal points should have received registration codes to distribute to accompanying persons/delegations as part of their quota of courtesy passes. Please contact us if this is not the case.
If you have received a registration code from your focal point, click here to register now. If you opt to register onsite at the event you will also need to enter your personal registration code.
Any additional passes that may be required should be purchased online or at the registration desks onsite, noting that group discounts apply until 5 September 2018 only.
Collecting your pass
Badges can only be collected after registration is completed online (or by ITU in the case of Leaders only) or at the registration desks onsite.
All badges must be collected personally as a photograph will be taken and printed on badges for access control security. All badges are strictly non-transferable.
For Leader pass holders only, an authorized focal point may collect the Leader pass on behalf of the Leader if an ID photograph of the Leader and the name of the focal point have been provided to us in advance. The photograph must be 500 kb maximum, in jpg, png or gif format, passport style (portrait), in colour, and taken against a plain or white background. If a suitable photograph and the name of the focal point collecting the badge are not provided in advance, Leaders must collect their own badge in person.

All participants are requested to obtain their own travel documents, such as passport and visas, for travel to Durban.

The event will be held at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC), located in Durban Central. The ICC is a 30 minute drive from King Shaka International Airport, and a 10 minute drive from Durban Train Station.

Transport in Durban
Every Leader is entitled to one (1) vehicle pass allowing parking at the venue. Vehicle passes will be provided at the Leaders registration desk onsite upon request. Click here to view the location of the parking area.
All Leaders and their delegations will also be able to take advantage of the shuttle bus service running between the main accommodation areas and the venue.

All Ministers will be ushered through the State Protocol Lounges on both OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and at King Shaka International Airport in Durban.
Upon arrival in Durban, Ministers and Deputy/Vice-Ministers will be provided with a personal car, driver and VIP Protector by the Republic of South Africa for the duration of their stay in Durban, to transport them between the airport, hotel and official event activities. LeaderSpace and Meeting Facilitation
The LeaderSpace is an exclusive lounge for Leader and Executive pass holders only. It offers a networking space for informal meetings, a bar serving beverages and light snacks, and two private meeting rooms (boardroom style, for 8 persons each), which may be booked via the Concierge Service.
Leaders may also access the LeaderSpace accompanied by one (1) non-Leader pass holder.

Meeting room booking
Meetings can be arranged at the LeaderSpace either in the open meeting area or in one of the private meeting rooms.
Both options can be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Private meeting rooms can be booked for up to one (1) hour duration and can be exclusively reserved for Leader pass holders.
Please submit your booking request to email@example.com stating the date and time of the meeting, the number of participants, and the contact details of the meeting organizer.
The event mobile app
Available across all mobile platforms, tablets and PCs, the event app allows you to network and interact with other participants during the event – and to continue the conversations afterwards, too. As a registered participant in ITU Telecom World 2018, you are listed as an attendee in the app and will receive a welcome email with details on how to download the app. Should you wish to remove your name or the name of a Leader pass holder, please contact us.
If you are a focal point, please make sure that you have communicated the email address of the head of your delegation to firstname.lastname@example.org. Otherwise, your head of delegation will not receive the app welcome email and will not be able to download and use the app.
The Concierge Service is an exclusive point of contact providing assistance to Leader pass holders on all issues relating to participation in the event, including meeting facilitation and room booking. During the event, the Concierge Desk will be physically located at the entrance to the LeaderSpace.
