The Leaders Programme offers an exclusive agenda of activities and networking at ITU Telecom World 2019 for the highest-level representatives of governments, corporates and SMEs in the ICT sector. Admission to the Leaders Programme is by invitation only. Contact us directly if you have not yet received an invitation and think you may be eligible.
Upon acceptance of your Leader invitation to email@example.com, you will be registered by ITU.
As a Leader pass holder, if your spouse is accompanying you and would like to access the venue, contact us to complete their registration.
Accompanying persons & national delegations
Accompanying persons and members of national delegations must register individually online. Focal points are asked to encourage their delegation members to complete their registration prior to the event.
Focal points should have received registration codes to distribute to accompanying persons/delegations as part of their quota of courtesy passes. Please contact us if this is not the case.
If you have received a registration code from your focal point, click here to register now. If you opt to register onsite at the event you will also need to enter your personal registration code.
Any additional passes that may be required can be purchased online – where you can also find this year’s special offers, noting that any discounts apply until 12 August 2019 only. Passes can also be purchased at the registration desks onsite.
Collecting your pass
Badges can only be collected after registration is completed online (or by ITU in the case of Leaders only), or at the registration desks onsite as of 7 September.
All badges must be collected personally as a photograph will be taken and printed on badges for access control security. All badges are strictly non-transferable.
For Leader pass holders only, an authorized focal point may collect the Leader pass on behalf of the Leader if an ID photograph of the Leader and the name of the focal point have been provided to us in advance. The photograph must be 500 kb maximum, in jpg, png or gif format, passport style (portrait), in colour, and taken against a plain or white background. If a suitable photograph and the name of the focal point collecting the badge are not provided in advance, Leaders must collect their own badge in person.

Transport & Accommodation
All foreign nationals travelling to Hungary for ITU Telecom World 2019 are responsible for obtaining their own valid travel documents, such as passports and visas. If a visa is required, participants must first complete their individual registration for an access pass to attend the event.

The event will be held at Hungexpo just 20 minutes’ drive from the buzzing city centre of Budapest.
Accommodation in Budapest
Budapest has a wide range of excellent accommodation options to suit all tastes and budgets, all within easy reach of the Hungexpo venue and the cultural, historical, shopping and entertainment highlights of this wonderful city.

Transport in Budapest
Every Leader is entitled to one (1) vehicle pass allowing parking at the venue. Vehicle passes will be provided at the Leaders registration desk onsite upon request. Click here to view the location of the parking area.
All Leaders and their delegations will also be able to take advantage of the shuttle bus service running between the main accommodation areas and the venue. Timings and routes can be found here.
Ministers are invited to consult their respective diplomatic representations in Budapest for transport arrangements during their stay. For Ministers with no representation in the city, the Government of Hungary is pleased to provide a courtesy car and driver for the duration of their stay in Budapest to transport them between the airport, hotel and official event activities. The table below highlights several key sessions and social events during the ITU Telecom World 2019 Programme that are of particular relevance for Leader pass holders. We hope your agenda will also allow time for visiting the exhibition and attending other Forum sessions and networking events, as well as your personal meetings. We also recommend visiting some of the pitching sessions showcasing the best small companies competing for the Global SME Award at ITU Telecom World, as well as the Internet Generation Day that runs throughout the whole of the last day of the event. Please check the programme regularly to keep up-to-date with new additions or changing times and locations.
All Ministers are invited to speak in the Ministerial Roundtable. As session allocations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, please contact the Forum team at your earliest convenience to confirm your interest in speaking in a roundtable.

The LeaderSpace is an exclusive lounge for Leader and Executive pass holders only. It offers a networking space for informal meetings, a bar serving beverages and light snacks, and one private meeting room.

Bilateral meeting facilitation
As part of the Concierge Service, we offer assistance to set up bilateral meetings between Leaders. Contact us with the name of the companies, countries and individuals that you would like to meet.
You are also invited to participate in the Business Matchmaking Service.
Meeting room booking
Meetings can be arranged at the LeaderSpace either in the open meeting area or in the private meeting room (boardroom style, for 8 persons).
Both options can be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. The private meeting room can be booked for up to one (1) hour duration and can only be reserved by Leader pass holders.
Please submit your booking request to firstname.lastname@example.org stating the date and time of the meeting, the number of participants, and the contact details of the meeting organizer.
If you require a meeting room for more than 1 hour at a time, please contact the Sales team at email@example.com.
The event mobile app
Available across all mobile platforms, tablets and PCs, the event app allows you to network and interact with other participants during the event – and to continue the conversations afterwards, too. In addition, all event information is available on the Event App (we don’t print programmes or brochures). If you would like to benefit from the App and be listed as an attendee, please let us know and we will send you a welcome email with details on how to download the App.
If you are a focal point, please make sure that you have communicated the email address of the head of your delegation to firstname.lastname@example.org if he/she would like to use the App. Your head of delegation will otherwise not receive the welcome email and will not be able to download and use the app.
Leaders are invited to share expert views and opinions, best practices and strategic visions in an exclusive ITU Telecom video interview filmed at our onsite TV studio. Interviews will be posted on the event web page, ITU Telecom YouTube channel, and across ITU’s social media channels; you are also encouraged to share the videos on your own platforms. To take part in media interviews or offer comments to the press, get in touch with our PR team. If you provide the name and contact details of a focal point within your organization responsible for press matters, our PR Team will also contact you should an appropriate opportunity arise.

Your accompanying media
If media are accompanying your delegation and can provide the required credentials, apply for media accreditation here.
Media and communications officers accompanying delegations do not fall under the category of media and should register in the same way as other members of your delegation – by using one of your quota of courtesy passes or by purchasing an additional pass.
The Concierge Service is an exclusive point of contact providing assistance to Leader pass holders on all issues relating to participation in the event, including meeting facilitation and room booking. During the event, the Concierge Desk will be physically located at the entrance to the LeaderSpace.
