Meet leading telecoms stakeholders from across the digital ecosystem, including Indonesia’s incumbent telecom operator and dynamic startups working in e-education, e-fishery and more – and enjoy the taste of Indonesia’s amazing coffee. CSAIA: From information security to international trade and cross-border e-commerce, education, broadcasting, remote sensing navigation and emergency support – satellite applications cover a huge variety of fields. And the China Satellite Application Industry Association, representing more than 90% of China’s national satellite service, is the place to find out more, including also 5G network equipment and the central One Belt One Road space information corridor initiative promoting international economic and trade cooperation.

Smart ABC Pavilion: Meet the ITU Smart Incubator Programme start-ups, including Bidiibuild, providing tools for African contractors, FairDist, a web-based data storage application, and Ndovu Care, a Kenyan innovation to scare elephants and protect farms. Don’t miss our Smart Talks, featuring “Supporting Tech start-ups in Africa: the prospects, the challenges, the pathways” at 11.00, “How does dating talent enable entrepreneurial talent?” at 11.30, and “Broadband solutions using fibre optics” at 15.30. Hungary: Day Two on the Hungarian Pavilion revolves around IT security issues. Exciting speeches and forum discussions will shed light on the dangers related to our online security – and how we can combat these threats. How do hackers operate? What are the weakest links in the cybersecurity chain? What is Red Teaming and how does a Security Operations Center work? Is this a game for the big players, or can a startup contribute?

Innovation Power Session: Part of the Innovation Ecosystem Programme, this session takes place in Hologram from 16:00 and looks at solving problems in the fast changing technology environment/Design Thinking.

SME Pitching: Join the SMEs shortlisted for the prestigious ITU Telecom World Award as they pitch their innovations and creative ideas to our expert jury of social entrepreneurs and tech visionaries from 10.00 this morning in the InnovationSpace. It's a full day of pitching with plenty of exciting talent on show, including a citizen-based smart city platform from Mozambique, a disruptive mobility SaaS platform from Rwanda, a Palestinian online shopping service targeting women, a pet healthcare urinanalysis kit from Korea and much, much more.
