Call for Speakers

From smart cities to the Internet of Things, 5G, automation, AI, and cross-sector partnerships in pursuit of the SDGs, the Forum at ITU Telecom World 2017 explores the policies, technologies and strategies driving the digital economy.

Our programme is designed directly in cooperation with you, stakeholders in the global ICT community. This is your opportunity to get involved in the debates and influence the agenda at this unique event, combining all the high level presence of a UN meeting with the informed and informal atmosphere of a major industry conference.

Speaking at ITU Telecom World 2017 enables you to share your views on the critical issues of the ICT industry, form essential connections, impact policy making, structure visions and strategy decisions, and help address critical societal challenges.

We are looking for nominations for the most respected, radical and insightful speakers with expertise in policy, business or technology to provide insights into the major issues shaping the ICT ecosystem today.

If you are interested in nominating a speaker, or in speaking yourself, please provide full contact details and a brief bio (~200 words) of the proposed speaker, outlining areas of expertise and potential topics for debate within the Forum Programme at ITU Telecom World 2017. Suggestion of topics that you would like to see addressed during the Forum are also welcome.

Please kindly note that the selection process will be based on the information you provide, and as a UN organization we pay attention to gender balance.

Speaking at ITU Telecom World 2017 is a unique opportunity to influence the international ICT community. Speakers invited by ITU are awarded a complimentary pass giving access to Forum debates, exhibition and networking events with ministers, regulators, CEOs and other influential stakeholders in the global ICT community.

Selected speakers are expected to pay their own travel and accommodation expenses.

ITU Telecom World 2017 takes place in Busan, Republic of Korea, from 25 – 28 September. The deadline for nominations has now passed. You may still submit a speaker nomination, but priority will be given to nominations received earlier.
